MAKERACER TOUR

Let’s See If You Can Actually Build This

Early Preview / Jan 26

Now you have the STLs on the drive, and they wait for your printer to boot. Good! Let's check how the Build Mode actually works.

Check It All

This is your Detailed Partlist.

Think of it as a pre-build checklist.

It shows everything you need before it makes sense to start assembling:

  • all printed parts

  • all filaments

  • all hardware

  • all electronics

You should print every element across all assigned filaments.
If needed, you can re-download any file from here.

You also get a clear overview of:

  • how many parts you’re building

  • which filaments they use

  • what the full scope of the build looks like

As you collect items, check them off.
This list is meant to be used, not just viewed.

For non-printable parts, things are simpler. You just order them from our links or your favorite shop, and wait for delivery. We’ll optimize this flow further over time.

Once everything is checked…

The build begins.

The Assembly Manual

You now have all printed parts, hardware, and electronics ready.

This is the LEGO moment. Yessss. (Not affiliated).

We design Makeracer builds to be as plug-and-play as possible:

  • minimal screws

  • snap-fit parts

  • no soldering required

To guide you, we generate a custom manual for your exact car.

BUT! Not a generic guide. The coolest one! It's specific to your build, your parts, and your filament colors.

And it’s not just step-by-step, it’s fully 3D. We use the same models as in the configurator, so you can rotate, zoom, and inspect every step from any angle.

Even complex steps (like pluggin in the electronics) stay clear.

Finished Build

Once the chassis runs, the body is mounted, and everything works…

We officially congratulate you.

But this isn’t the end.

You can share your build with the community,
so others can use it as a base, remix it, or improve it.

You can also upload proof footage of your build to earn the:

BUILT IRL badge.

This matters, when people browse community builds and presets, they naturally trust the ones that are physically made and proven.

And that’s exactly what we’ll cover in the next step.

MAKERACER is still in development. Everything shown here (features, images, and prototypes..) may change.
