Body Model
The blueprint of your car.
The Body Model defines the vehicle type (pickup, van, racer, etc.) and the layout of major parts (the cabin, hood, bed..), and overall silhouette.
Makeracer will add new Body Models over time, while making new content for the existing ones.
Body Styles
Your starting point.
Every Body Model includes preset Body Styles that show different directions the design can take.
Example Taranna Styles we brainstormed:
Classic … clean baseline
Beanliner … tiny coffee truck
Hauler … utility dump bed
Nomad … setup
Sentinel … armored concept
Sprint … racing pickup
Wrecker … tow truck
One Body Model can branch into dozens of wildly different results, and you can customize each style even further. If you don't like the rocket launcher, just swap it for a surfboard!
Chassis Model
The chassis defines how your car drives:
steering feel, stability, climbing ability, traction.
Makeracer will support multiple chassis types, like Independent-Axle, Tank-Track, Trophy, 6-Wheeler..
But we start with a versatile workhorse:
Reliable, durable, and ready for almost any terrain.
Chassis Tunes
Each chassis supports multiple Chassis Tunes, presets that adjust:
tires tread, size, and material
suspension stiffness and lenght
battery & motor setup
electronics
Tunes act as “ready-made” configurations you can refine later with tuning parameters. Like in a videogame, but IRL.
We brainstormed this for the Independent-axle 4WD:
Racer … 3-cell LiPo, brushless motor, stiff suspension, and wide, hairy-mid tires for maximum carpet grip.
Drifter … 2300 mAh pack, brushless motor, loose suspension, and hard, slick TPU tires with zero tread.
Explorer … Maximum battery capacity, brushed motor for smooth low-speed torque, loose suspension, and ultra-soft TPU tires with aggressive tread.
We'll make a great set, and add more eventually!
